The first session of Ruico Shipping's 2024 Seafarer Seminar was successfully held

From May 29 to 30, 2024, Ruico shipping successfully held the first seafarer seminar of the year, which was located in Guangzhou. This seminar invited 23 crew members to participate, including 18 senior crew members, accounting for 78% of the total number of participating crew members, and 5 ordinary crew members, accounting for 22%. In addition, the seminar also had the honor of inviting lecturers from maritime regulatory authorities and professional captains from customer parties to teach. The company's president, leaders from the safety management department, and shore-based support personnel also attended this seminar.



Mr. Huang Huo, the company president, delivered a speech on behalf of the company, warmly welcoming the crew back and expressing heartfelt gratitude for their efforts and contributions during the development of Ruico shipping. Captain Wang Yueqi from Guangzhou Shajiao Maritime Affairs Office and teacher Zhou Chubu conducted a lecture titled "Water Safety Knowledge into Enterprises".


 

Captain Chen Hao, the safety director, conducted training on the application of "Intervention Culture and stop card Mechanism" as well as "Risk Assessment & Accident Investigation."


Captain Liu Jibo from CNOOC Shell conducted training on "Hazard Identification", "MEG4 Mooring Equipment Guide, Concept Clarification Introduction, 4th Edition", and "Concept of Occupational Exposure Limits from Different Agencies".


 

Captain Zhao Zhenlong from Wanhua Chemical shared insights on "Best Practices in Shipping Management."


The engineering department conducted specialized training for the deck crew, including "Emergency Equipment Training," "Special Action for Preventing Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Failures on Ships," "Practical Regulations for Emergency Power Supplies and Emergency Generators/Quick Closure Valves for Wind and Oil," and "Special Self-Inspection Guide for Electrical and Mechanical Equipment - How to Inspect Main Propulsion Installations, Security, Monitoring, Remote Control, and Other Ancillary Equipment."


The Marine Department conducted specialized training for the ship's crew on "Typical Defects of SIRE in the Fleet", "Accident Cases/Shell Safety Culture/Company System and Key Laws and Regulations Sharing", and "Chemical Tank Cleaning Training".


The company also organized a joint ship-shore drill named "Ship Collision Emergency Drill," inviting the crew to observe and comment. Departments such as Operations, Procurement, and Digitalization also communicated and exchanged daily issues with the crew members.


The seminar event made the crew feel the warmth of home and the company's emphasis on the safety management of ships and the professional skills training for the crew. The crew members have significantly increased confidence in their career development and the company's future prospects. We invited each crew member to evaluate the effectiveness of the seminar event, and the statistical results show that the crew members are very satisfied with the training content, trainers, and training outcomes.
