June 2024 marked the 23rd National "Safety Production Month." To thoroughly implement the important discussions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on safety production, further strengthen the safety awareness of all employees, and firmly establish the concept of safe production and development, Ruico Shipping organized a series of Safety Production Month activities themed "Everyone Speaks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response — Keep Lifeline Channels Unobstructed," in line with the company's safety management plans and objectives.
On June 5, the company's President presided over the launch ceremony of the Safety Production Month activities. All shore-based personnel attended the meeting in person or online. The company's Safety Director conducted a promotional briefing on the activities, announced the company's 2024 "Safety Production Month" action plan, delivered a mobilization speech and deployment instructions, and distributed the plan to the fleet.

On June 13, all shore-based personnel participated in a training session, watching the safety education video "Lifeline Channel" and receiving hands-on training on the use of AED devices and filtered fire escape respirators.
From June 11 to 13, shore-based departments organized employee training sessions, while on board the vessels, captains organized crew safety training. The training covered the Safety Production Law, Maritime Safety Law, the company's safety management system, "SIRE 2.0," and the company's emergency manual.

From June 14 to 15, the company organized a safety knowledge competition. All employees participated in studying related videos and taking the knowledge quiz, achieving a 100% participation rate and 100% pass rate, which greatly energized the entire workforce's enthusiasm for learning safety knowledge.
On June 20, the shore-based team conducted a fire evacuation drill, enhancing fire safety awareness among all shore-based employees and improving the company's fire emergency response capabilities. On the same day, the company organized the second-quarter joint ship-shore emergency exercise. The emergency response team acted swiftly and promptly handled the simulated hazard. The exercise was observed online by HSE leaders from Wanhua Chemical and received positive feedback.

Marine and technical superintendents conducted intensive vessel visits, carrying out a series of safety production training sessions and inspections, ensuring the implementation of emergency preparedness measures against high temperatures, typhoons, and flooding. The company also conducted a comprehensive safety hazard investigation, established a ledger of identified hazards, pushed for rectification and closed-loop verification, and reported the hazard inventory.
The 2024 "Safety Production Month" activities have concluded successfully, but safety production is "always an ongoing journey." Ruico Shipping will continue to pragmatically carry out safety management and monitoring, effectively conduct risk identification and control, truly integrate safety hazard investigation into daily operations, continuously elevate the company's safety management standards, and persistently deliver industry-leading safety and service to our clients.
